ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Nikki, a dedicated nurse with nearly 20 years of experience. My journey in nursing began in a fast-paced environment of a Los Angeles emergency room, where I served as a clinical supervisor. After years of working to climb the career ladder in hospital administration, I realized I missed working with patients and wanted to be back at the bedside. I wanted to have the patient connection and fill the gap in care of psychiatric care. This realization prompted me to pursue a career as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Nursing has provided me with a unique life learning environment. I am deeply committed to the nursing process and caring theory. My goal is to not only provide personalized, evidence-based treatments that prioritize the unique needs of each patient but also to actively contribute to reducing the stigma of mental illness. Creating meaningful and therapeutic relationships with patients is at the core of my practice.
In my personal life, I was born in Cincinnati but have lived most of my life in California. I’m excited to be back in Ohio and reconnect with my family. I live with my husband and 2 dogs and enjoy a more rural lifestyle. I love vegetable gardening and watching the bald eagles near my home. I have 5 children who live all over the world including North Carolina, Colorado, California, and Australia.
